Beer Review: Stone Imperial Russian Stout
I picked up the Stone Imperial Russian Stout on a whim. At 10.8% alcohol, it's extremely weighty and the bottle is distinct without being flashy. A few sniffs of the bottle didn't tell me much more than "Hey, I'm a fucking stout!" but my first impression upon tasting it on my tongue was, "Hey, I'm fucking sweet!" There was a slight bitter flavor but with an overall (and indistinct) sweetness. Its taste is very powerful and delicious; I'll be picking it up again. Beer Advocate gives it an A and RateBeer gives it a 4.2/5.0.Labels: beer, review, stone imperial russian stout
