We'll give you the world!
There are so many small things that remind me of New York. I doubt there is any other city in the U.S. that has so references in pop culture; it isn't even the obvious references that anyone would recognize, it's the smaller "in jokes" that trigger strange memories.My son and I were watching Sesame Street on GPTV when it did a short that pretended to be a pet news program: "Give us 22 minutes..." That's the tagline for 1010 WINS in NYC. "Give us 22 minutes, we'll give you the world!" I recall how my mother would have it on in the kitchen every morning for news, traffic, everything.
Just a little "in joke" that I wanted everyone else to share.
