Everything I need to know, I leared from Ferris Bueller's Day Off:Cameron has never been in love - at least, nobody's ever been in love with him. If things don't change for him, he's gonna marry the first girl he lays, and she's gonna treat him like shit, because she will have given him what he has built up in his mind as the end-all, be-all of human existence. She won't respect him, 'cause you can't respect somebody who kisses your ass. It just doesn't work.
But here's the thing--it's more than just not kissing their ass. Women are taught very bad things growing up and what they learn is that being treated like shit is normal and if they're treated nicely, there's something wrong. Women have associated certain actions and behaviors ("being nice") with larger roles ("being a pussy") and won't spend enough time considering you to overlook the "nice" part.
My rule? Have fun. If that means you're being a dick, so be it. If they don't like it, fuck 'em. I treat women the same way I treat men--disposable. A friend is different: you care about them and they've earned that honor. Joe or Jane Random hasn't.
More than being an asshole or being generous, happiness is attractive. If you seem like you're having fun, people will want to have fun with you. Don't compromise having fun because you want to worship at the altar of pussy.
