The internet is creepy.

I took a look at LinkedIn's suggestions of who I might know... the first person (non-alphabetical list) is a girl from whom I only bought something a year ago. Never met her in person; only had a few phone calls and a few emails. That's it.

I guess I was on a contact list that she uploaded... and I'm pretty disturbed that the internet knows about that vague and temporary of a relationship.

Such a wife is a Godly Christian wife.

On the internet, you can find almost anything you want.
"My primary goal is to find a wife that knows that she was created for man, that she is to be her husband's helpmate, that she is totally under her husband's authority and is to obey her husband with all her heart, mind, body and soul and that it is her husband that she is devoted to and loyal to and seeks to please with all her being. Such a wife is a Godly Christian wife. Any deviation from this it NOT a Godly Christian wife but is rather a rebellious witch and whore. Most of Christendom is filled with rebellious witch whores."

FBI determines 40yrs of scientific testimony wasn't ever based on science.

1. The FBI gives testimony which is later found to be untrue.
2. ...
3. FALSE CONVICTION!
"... a six-month investigation by 60 Minutes and The Washington Post last November showed that there are hundreds of defendants imprisoned around the country who were convicted with the help of a now discredited forensic tool, and that the FBI never notified them, their lawyers, or the courts, that the their cases may have been affected by faulty testimony."
Evidence of Injustice
Just imagine if the state killed someone in your family based on bogus testimony. That'd really suck, wouldn't it? Wouldn't it be really nice if the state were trying to help groups like the Innocence Project analyse cases and help clear innocent people of these crimes so we could, I dunno, find the real criminals and, I dunno, protect society. Too bad governments will attest to the dying day--the convicted's, that is--that they haven't made an error.

Lifehacker isn't hacking enough.

Lifehacker ran a list of "Readers' Free Replacements for Paid Tools" which I would care about if I ever paid for software tools. More than seven years ago, I switched to Linux exclusively and the only software I buy is the rare game (and I don't use unlicensed copies at all).
"Companies that suffered from piracy a decade ago now know the lesson well - piracy is a good thing so long as the pirates are folks who could never afford your products. So stop calling them pirates, call hem users. Free software has no pirates."
--Jonathan Schwartz, Free Software Has No Pirates
I know that it's hard for some people to understand but Free Software means I don't have to worry about getting audited for license violations or calling up the company because software I paid for won't work after I upgraded computers.

All of starts by not running an operating system that tells me what I'm allowed to do with it. Or a phone or a DVD player or a television or anything. If I buy something and what I want to do is legal, I shouldn't be restricted by a license.

Craig Ferguson speaks on civic duty.

"If you don't vote, you're a moron."

Craig Ferguson says we shouldn't get news from late-night comedians but they're the only ones who can tell the truth and not get fired for it. Sometimes the only way we can swallow our medicine is when it's wrapped in a sugar.
