A 16-year-old Summerville High School student says he was arrested
Tuesday morning and suspended after writing about killing a dinosaur
using a gun.
Alex Stone said he and his classmates were told in
class to write a few sentences about themselves, and a "status" as if it
was a Facebook page. Stone said in his "status" he wrote a fictional story that involved the words "gun" and "take care of business."
"I
killed my neighbor's pet dinosaur, and, then, in the next status I said
I bought the gun to take care of the business," Stone said.
What a fucking sociopath.
According to police, when Stone was asked by school officials about
the comment written on the assignment, he said it was a joke. Summerville police officials say Stone was disruptive and was told that he was being detained for disturbing schools. Stone was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. District officials say the student has been suspended.
If anything, this was an under-reaction. Cops should've taken Alex behind the music building and put a bullet in his brain.
Cops in Wausau, Wis. raided a party serving root beer to teenagers. You know, root beer, the soda nine-year old kids drink. They tested almost 90 kids for alcohol, found NONE. They looked all over the house for hiding teenagers, including closets. Found NO ALCOHOL. Police defended their actions:
"If one kid had come there, even hadn't drank there, but had come there and had been drinking and had left and crashed and burned, then what would the sentiment be? Why didn't the police check everybody out?"
They would've thought, "Man, I'm never going to let someone who drinks into my house where they can have soda. Fuck that. They should DRIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE."
Dustin Zebro, 18, said he staged the party after friends at D.C. Everest High School got suspended from sports because of pictures showing them drinking from red cups.
Red cups, the universal sign for BEER.
Great job, Mister Policeman. You showed EXACTLY how stupid you are.
Now, joking about Lincoln and Booth could be considered "inappropriate".Definitely Kennedy and Oswaldor King and Ray. But joking about someone who isn't dead and who gets regular death threats? And is the goddamned president, is black, and you're in fucking Alabama?
That's "inappropriate"? Let's flip this around. Imagine if a student were given the task of writing a word problem for a geometry lesson; if that student had used ANYONE living, they would have been expelled. Gone. Fini. Imagine if an Alabama student had done that about President Bush (43) during his presidency? Wanna guess there'd be criminal charges for "terroristic threats" by the local cops?
You know I'm right. So how come this teacher gets a (hard) slap on the wrist? Is it because it was Obama and not Bush? Is it because he's a teacher, not a student? Is it because "Coach" wins games and is popular?
Let's ask one of his former students:
Shea Cameron, one of Harrison's former students and supporters on the Facebook page "Keep Coach Harrison," says she understands the need for consequences, but doesn't think Harrison recieved an "accurate punishment."
"I believe that the example that the student gave was if you were to shoot the presidents ear off and Coach Harrison said that would be the point of tangency," she said.
"I honestly don't believe a reprimand was necessary," Cameron said. "I believe that he had a lapse in judgement, absolutely, but it was not intended to harm anyone."
Teachers should set the example for students to follow. This goes beyond "inappropriate" or an "error in judgement." The man should have been fired. Obviously, the community at large thinks this kind of thing is ok and would do nothing to deter it.
So the next time some kid gets expelled or arrested for joking about something like this, bring up Coach Gregory Harrison of Corner High School, Jefferson County, Alabama. Ask why he gets to keep his job.
FBI determines 40yrs of scientific testimony wasn't ever based on science.
1. The FBI gives testimony which is later found to be untrue. 2. ... 3. FALSE CONVICTION!
"... a six-month investigation by 60 Minutes and The Washington Post last November showed that there are hundreds of defendants imprisoned around the country who were convicted with the help of a now discredited forensic tool, and that the FBI never notified them, their lawyers, or the courts, that the their cases may have been affected by faulty testimony." Evidence of Injustice
Just imagine if the state killed someone in your family based on bogus testimony. That'd really suck, wouldn't it? Wouldn't it be really nice if the state were trying to help groups like the Innocence Project analyse cases and help clear innocent people of these crimes so we could, I dunno, find the real criminals and, I dunno, protect society. Too bad governments will attest to the dying day--the convicted's, that is--that they haven't made an error.
He is charged with his fifth drunken driving offense, a felony, and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. If convicted, he faces a maximum six years in prison and a $10,000 fine, but those penalties double because he had two young children in the vehicle at the time.
He had kids in the car? That's fucked up. What's that? He had kids in the car but he wasn't driving? And he was on private property?
He placed the 6-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl, both of whom were crying, into his Lincoln sport utility vehicle. Witnesses heard the engine rev but said the SUV did not move. At that point, a sheriff's deputy arrived and took Hansford into custody.
Yeah. Exceptional reporting. Ignoring misleading "facts", if this is true, the guy and his kids need help.
This guy isn't a small town douchebag police chief who doubles as the undertaker. This is a big town douchebag police chief who runs on the of largest metropolitan areas in the United States.
Does anyone feel safe in a city where the police chief doesn't know the amendments to the U.S. Constitution? Or where the media doesn't call out such a fucker?
Three guys are hanging around drinking. One of the guys has an ATV. One of the other guys says, "Hey, can I ride your ATV?" First guy says, "Dude, you're blind!" Blind guy says, "I know, but I'll be cool." First guy again, "Ok, just don't go too fast."
That's really funny but the worst part is that his friends are likely going to be arrested by the cops for negligent homicide or sued by someone in the guy's family for not stopping him. It's a little know fact that when you're blind you also stop being an adult. I'm just glad he didn't buy a cup of Mickey D's coffee before he took off.
